Inspecting the Naneum Canyon Burn
Today Hugo hosted an expedition to examine the effects of a terrible fire last summer that invaded the Naneum Canyon, one of the region's special natural environments.
Despite the mediæval mists, we were shocked at the results. Hugo was especially saddened, as this is one of his favorite exploratory zones.
Recovery will be a long process. We never used to experience fires like this around here. More evidence of global warming/climate change, and its effects, via extreme weather conditions.
Thanks to the firefighters, the burn wasn't worse than it was.
